Seattle, WA – More than 1000 supporters from all aspects of the Puget Sound region’s arts and cultural sector filled the Grand Ballroom of the Westin Seattle on May 28th, 2014 for ArtsFund’s 26th Annual Celebration of the Arts Luncheon, featuring a keynote address by Robert L. Lynch, President and CEO, Americans for the Arts. The luncheon was sponsored by Presenting Sponsor The Boeing Company, as well as by Supporting Sponsor Safeco Insurance.

ArtsFund announced today that as of January 1, 2014, the three month anniversary of power2give.org/PugetSound, the site has generated $180,078 in new funds for the region’s arts and cultural sector.

December 1, 2013 marks the two month anniversary of power2give.org/PugetSound, the regional arts crowd-funding platform presented by ArtsFund, and ArtsFund is pleased to announce that in the two months since launching, the site has brought $144,727 in new funds to the region’s arts and cultural sector!!

ArtsFund is thrilled to announce that as of November 1, 2013, the one month anniversary of power2give.org/PugetSound, the site has generated $104,271 in new funds for the region’s arts and cultural sector!! 415 donations have been received, all matched 100%, and the site has had 4319 unique site visits and is growing daily. In addition, in this first month alone, 13 projects have reached their funding goals and new projects continue to be posted.

Since the October 1, 2013 launch of power2give.org/PugetSound, presented by ArtsFund, more than 215 donors have contributed via the site for a total of $27,746 in online donations. Adding the 1:1 match, the launch week total is $55,492 in new funds invested in the region’s arts and culture sector. Of the 36 projects posted on launch date, six projects reached their funding goals within the first week: Jet City Improv, Seattle Children’s Theatre, Seattle JazzEd, Seattle Music Partners, Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra, and SIFF. ArtsFund is thrilled to share the news that with 121 donors contributing $18,898, and the 1:1 match (an additional $18,898 in matching funds), the first 24 hours of power2give/PugetSound brought $37,796 in new funds to the region’s arts and culture sector. By the 29th hour, the total reached $42,928 and continued to rise.
power2give/PugetSound, presented by ArtsFund, launched at 10am on 10/1/2013 with a dynamic roster of 36 arts and culture groups. Within 24 hours, two projects reached their funding goals, with two more reaching 85% or higher of their project totals.

On October 1, 2013 ArtsFund presents power2give/PugetSound, an online crowd-funding platform providing a flexible way to connect with and support regional arts projects and making giving to the arts more accessible. Common threads among the 36 projects included in the launch include: youth-based programs and outreach, free or reduced access, community programs and outreach, arts education programs, supplies and transportation, equipment and facilities improvements, production costs, original programming, and artist support and commissions.
Thanks to the Raynier Institute & Foundation and other generous sponsors, the first $100,000 in donations made through power2give/PugetSound will be matched 100%. Start-up and administrative sponsorship is by The Boeing Company, providing funds covering the launch and implementation of power2give/PugetSound,

ArtsFund announced today that the Raynier Institute & Foundation has awarded a $200,000 grant to ArtsFund to provide inaugural matching funds for power2give.org/PugetSound, an online cultural marketplace utilizing technology to create a direct connection between donors and projects about which they are passionate. ArtsFund will launch power2give/PugetSound on October 1, 2013.
