ArtsFund is excited to announce a number of events and partnerships that will serve to heighten the visibility of the arts in our region and provide a platform to showcase the work of our area’s fantastic arts organizations. ArtsFund is hosting internationally renowned arts management expert Michael Kaiser on March 16th for a convening with ArtsFund Cultural Partners and members of their boards of trustees.
Is your voice being heard at the board table? Join ArtsFund for an evening focused on expanding racial, ethnic, and cultural diversity in civic and cultural board leadership. Mid-career professionals of color interested in arts board service—this event is for you.
ArtsFund hosted its second 2016-2017 convening on November 17, 2016, centered around arts audience research, with tips and best practices on effective research techniques, conducting successful focus groups on a budget, and how to create more user-friendly surveys. The event was hosted by the Wing Luke Museum of the Asian Pacific American Experience, with presentations by Don Morgan of GMA Research, Nancy Hardwick of Hardwick Research, and Max Israel of Customerville.
On October 12, 2016, ArtsFund partnered with The Ostara Group to host a training session training session on maximizing donor relationships formed, deepened, and reinvigorated through the power2give platform.
ArtsFund hosted Turning Data Into Action on April 11, a convening centered on how data drives decision-making in support of the arts by arts organizations, policy makers, civic leaders, funders, and businesses.
On October 2, ArtsFund hosted a convening and discussion celebrating the 2 year anniversary of power2give/PugetSound. 30 representatives from 25 partner organizations joined us at Northwest African American Museum for a strategy session surrounding the ways that a power2give campaign can fit within an overall fundraising strategy.
On June 3rd, ArtsFund hosted the cultural convening Beyond Engagement 2.0: Local Pathways to Equity & Inclusion in the Arts. Nearly 100 participants representing over 60 organizations attended, representing arts and cultural service organizations of all scales and disciplines from throughout the region, as well as civic leaders and funders both public and private.
On Saturday, July 11, 2015, ArtsFund partnered with Seafair to present the ArtsFund Celebrates Creativity Awards at the Milk Carton Derby. Over 100 milk carton boats of all shapes and designs competed in front of 10,000+ spectators. For the second year, ArtsFund showcased the inspiration and innovation of the Milk Carton Derby entrants.
ArtsFund and Seattle Sounders FC are teaming up for a special arts contest celebrating our region’s youth! As part of Posters by the People, we’re inviting anyone 18 and under to design an original matchday poster for Seattle Sounders FC’s August 1 home match against the Vancouver Whitecaps.
For the third year in a row, ArtsFund is thrilled to be partnering with the Seattle Mariners to present Arts Night at Safeco Field on Friday, June 19. Highlights will include live performances by Jet City Improv, Music Center of the Northwest, and Teatro Zinzanni and an arts tabling zone on the main concourse.
ArtsFund and KING 5 are partnering to highlight the critical links between arts, health and healing. From April 20th-24th segments profiling the programs of ArtsFund grantee organizations will be broadcast daily on New Day Northwest (weekdays at 11 a.m.) and on Evening Magazine (weeknights at 7 p.m.).
On 12.05.14, ArtsFund hosted the convening Beyond Engagement: Pathways to Equity & Inclusion in the Arts. This was a solutions-focused and practical conversation centered on institutional approaches to creating pathways to equity in the arts, and an exploration of tools and strategies to help build diverse and equitable arts organizations
