On Friday, December 7th, 2018, ArtsFund hosted a convening presenting the findings of the Social Impact of the Arts study to representatives from 47 unique cultural organizations titled, Making the Case for the Social Impact of the Arts. The presentation of the report’s findings was followed by a panel discussion on how to leverage the research at attendees’ organizations to highlight the important work they do in their communities.

Recap: From Survival to Success

On Tuesday June 19th and Wednesday the 20th, ArtsFund hosted forums on fundraising and development for cultural organizations, titled From Survival to Success: A Management Platform for Fundraising Success, presented by nonprofit advisory firm Altruist Partners. More than 100 staff and board members attended over the two mornings at K&L Gates, with the first session geared toward organizations with budgets under $1 million and the second at those with budgets over $1 million.

STARBUCKS HOMETOWN COMMITMENT

Honoring its Seattle roots, Starbucks is proud to support local initiatives that make Seattle a great place to live, work and play through partnerships with like-minded local organizations and the cultural traditions that shape our community. Little Big Show is one of the many ways Starbucks brings the community together in support of arts education programs. Over the last 40 years Starbucks has helped celebrate and support many local arts programs and traditions, including Bumbershoot, the Seattle International Film Festival and Hot Java Cool Jazz at the Paramount.

Starbucks' commitment to Seattle also includes grants to support critical local human services, investment in skills training programs for disadvantaged youth, and ongoing community service by Starbucks partners (employees).  Starbucks partners have been invaluable members of ArtsFund’s Board of Trustees, Allocations Committees, and Associates Programs.  ArtsFund is proud to spotlight Starbucks Hometown Commitment.
