2015-2017 Building for the Arts Capital Grant Program Receives $7.9 Million
ArtsFund announced today that on July 1, 2015, with the approval of the 2015-2017 biennium state capital budget, the Building for the Arts program was awarded $7.9 million, a receipt of the full funding requested for 13 capital projects across the state.
ArtsFund Celebrates Creativity at Seafair’s Milk Carton Derby
On Saturday, July 11, 2015, ArtsFund is partnering with Seafair to present the ArtsFund Celebrates Creativity Awards at the Milk Carton Derby. Over 100 milk carton boats of all shapes and designs compete annually in front of 10,000+ spectators. For the second year, ArtsFund is showcasing the inspiration and innovation of the Milk Carton Derby entrants.

Beyond Engagement 2.0 is designed to encourage greater discussion around specific models, barriers, tools, strategies and next steps for creating wider pathways to equity and inclusion in the arts. Twenty-Seventh Annual Celebration of the Arts Luncheon Announced
ArtsFund will host its 27th annual Celebration of the Arts luncheon on Monday, May 18, 2015, at the Westin Seattle. The keynote address by Vijay Gupta (Founder of Street Symphony, TED Senior Fellow, and Mental Health Advocate) will focus on the Redemptive and Regenerative Power of Music. ArtsFund will honor Ann Ramsay-Jenkins with the Lifetime Dedication to the Arts award, and renowned actor, director and Pacific Northwest resident Tom Skerritt with the Outstanding Achievement in the Arts award.
ArtsFund Launches 2014-2015 Economic Impact Study
The ArtsFund Economic Impact Study measures and documents the significant direct and indirect economic impact made by cultural nonprofits in the Central Puget Sound region. It is a comprehensive analysis of the aggregate expenditures of arts and cultural organizations and their patrons in the local and Washington State economies.

$500,000 Milestone for #p2g
ArtsFund is thrilled to announce that power2give.org/PugetSound has passed the $500,000 mark in funds raised for regional arts groups. As of 12/1/2014, the 14 month anniversary of the site’s launch, $526,089 has been generated for project-based support for arts and cultural organizations in King, Pierce and Snohomish Counties.

Cultural Access WA Announces New Executive Director, Joy Langley
Cultural Access Washington announced the appointment of Joy Langley as Executive Director. Langley will join the organization this September to lead the legislative effort forward to provide unprecedented access to science, heritage and arts experiences across the state. She brings nearly 20 years of professional political campaign experience to Cultural Access Washington, and she is well-positioned to help lead the Coalition forward.

On the one-year anniversary of power2give.org/PugetSound, ArtsFund’s regional arts crowdfunding platform, ArtsFund announces the initiative’s twelve month milestones:

The Tacoma Arts Commission has announced ArtsFund as the 2014 AMOCAT Arts Award winner in the category of Arts Patron. The AMOCAT Arts Awards recognize those in the greater Tacoma community who provide distinctive contributions to the arts. The honorees work hard to support and build the community by innovating in artistic excellence.
ArtsFund Announces 2014 Awards Over $2.5 Million
ArtsFund announced today that it has concluded its 2014 annual fundraising campaign and has distributed $2,549,244 in grants to 55 nonprofit arts groups in King and Pierce Counties. With this allocation of the 2014 grants, the combined total of ArtsFund’s grant making since inception in 1969, inclusive of power2give/PugetSound funds distributed, surpassed $71 Million.
