ArtsFund Announces 2017-2018 Strategic Plan

ArtsFund has been strengthening the Puget Sound Region through support of the arts since 1969. An update to the 2013 strategic plan, the ArtsFund 2017-2018 Strategic Plan provides a framework by which we will increase understanding of the role of the arts in building healthy communities, activate support for the arts, and grow our organization. ArtsFund will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2019. The 2017-2018 Strategic Plan aligns our mission and vision with our values and goals, and positions ArtsFund to move into the next 50 years.

ARTSFUND AWARDS $2.4 MILLION IN 2016 GRANTS

ArtsFund announced today that it will distribute $2,399,918 in grants to 53 nonprofit arts groups in King and Pierce Counties from its recently concluded annual fundraising campaign. With this allocation, ArtsFund’s grants surpassed $76.5 Million awarded since its founding in 1969.

ArtsFund’s 2014 Economic Impact Study of Nonprofit Arts, Cultural, and Scientific Organizations in Eastside King County measures and documents the direct and indirect economic impacts made by cultural nonprofits and their patrons in Eastside King County, defined for the purposes of this report as the area east of Lake Washington to Snoqualmie including Mercer Island, and from Renton North to Bothell.

ArtsFund’s 2014 Economic Impact Study Results Released

ArtsFund’s 2014 Economic Impact Study of Nonprofit Arts, Cultural, and Scientific Organizations in the Central Puget Sound Region—released on November 18, 2015—measures and documents the significant direct and indirect economic impacts made by cultural nonprofits in the Central Puget Sound region. According to the study, regional nonprofit cultural organizations show post-recession stability. Growth can be seen in key indicators of aggregate economic impacts, attendance, budgets, and employment.

ArtsFund’s power2give.org/PugetSound Celebrates Two Year Impacts

On the two year anniversary of power2give.org/PugetSound, ArtsFund’s regional arts crowdfunding platform, ArtsFund announced the program’s impacts to date. Since the program launch on October 1, 2013, more than $848,000 has been generated to support 168 projects from 87 groups throughout three counties. Over 3100 donors have contributed to the site, with 40% of those donors being new to the posting organizations.

ARTSFUND ANNOUNCES 2015 AWARDS OVER $2.4 MILLION

ArtsFund announced today that it has concluded its 2015 annual fundraising campaign and will distribute $2,420,680 in grants to 55 nonprofit arts groups in King and Pierce Counties. With this allocation of the 2015 grants, the combined total of ArtsFund’s grant making since inception in 1969, inclusive of both allocations and power2give.org/PugetSound funds distributed, surpassed $73.8 Million.

2015-2017 Building for the Arts Capital Grant Program Receives $7.9 Million

ArtsFund announced today that on July 1, 2015, with the approval of the 2015-2017 biennium state capital budget, the Building for the Arts program was awarded $7.9 million, a receipt of the full funding requested for 13 capital projects across the state.

On Saturday, July 11, 2015, ArtsFund is partnering with Seafair to present the ArtsFund Celebrates Creativity Awards at the Milk Carton Derby. Over 100 milk carton boats of all shapes and designs compete annually in front of 10,000+ spectators. For the second year, ArtsFund is showcasing the inspiration and innovation of the Milk Carton Derby entrants.
