power2give/PugetSound One Year Anniversary Convening
power2give.org/PugetSound celebrated its one year anniversary with a convening & reception on Tuesday, September 30. Representatives from 35 arts groups gathered for a recap of our inaugural year, a celebration of the 1 year milestones (100 projects, 1650 donors, $420K raised), and a look towards continued growth in year 2.
Arts Night at Safeco Field
Over 950 arts lovers, makers and supporters joined ArtsFund and the Mariners for Arts Night, on Friday, June 27. The evening was a celebration of the vibrant arts community in our region and included appearances by Lane Czaplinski, Artistic Director of On the Boards, international opera singer (and Tacoma native) Robert McPherson, and Centerpiece Jazz Band (Music Center of the Northwest).
ArtsFund Celebrates Creativity with Seafair
On Saturday, July 12, ArtsFund partnered with Seafair celebrating creativity in the community at the annual Milk Carton Derby at Greenlake. Over 100 milk carton boats of all shapes and designs competed in front of 10,000 spectators, and this year, ArtsFund added “arts” into the mix by offering a new showboat category – the “ArtsFund Celebrates Creativity Award.”
New Day Northwest
KING 5’s mid-morning program partnered with ArtsFund to present an entire hour of arts and cultural programming, including performances by Seattle JazzEd, Spectrum Dance Theatre, and Tacoma Musical Playhouse, and segments featuring Broadway Center for the Performing Arts, Wing Luke Museum, and On the Boards.
ArtsFund’s Celebration of the Arts Luncheon
ArtsFund’s annual Celebration of the Arts luncheon was held at The Westin on May 28th. More than 1000 supporters from all aspects of the region’s arts and cultural sector filled the Grand Ballroom of the Westin Seattle on May 28th, 2014 for ArtsFund’s 26th Annual Celebration of the Arts Luncheon, featuring a keynote address by Robert L. Lynch, President and CEO, Americans for the Arts.
