2019 Campaign Fuels Millions in Grants
ArtsFund completed its successful Campaign 2019 on May 31, once again raising millions of dollars in support of arts and culture in our region. Thank you for helping us build a stronger community through the arts!
Funds from our annual campaign support programs and services reaching nearly 150 arts and cultural organizations and provide grants to 68 to nonprofit arts groups throughout the Central Puget Sound region. Read about our recent 2019 grant allocations exceeding $2.2 million here. To date, ArtsFund has awarded nearly $84 million to organizations in the region.
This year we focused on the power of the arts promote positive social change and help meet critical community needs. You may have heard nationally recognized musician and educator Stanford Thompson speak about how sustained arts involvement positively affects youth at our 2019 Celebration of the Arts Luncheon or read about the many ways the arts bolster our individual and community health and well being in our Social Impact of the Arts Study (released October 2018). Perhaps you were introduced to a cultural organization via our Multicultural Arts Project or participation in the Creative Equity Fund. Maybe you are one of the 700 arts and cultural leaders who have participated in our Board Leadership Training program, or perhaps you were introduced to us for the first time through our community event at Town Hall Seattle or one of our workplace giving campaigns.
Whether you’re a long-term donor who’s been with us for nearly 50 years, or a new ArtsFund supporter, we could not do what we do without you. Thank you again for joining us at the intersection of arts and community!
