Glenn Kawasaki will be awarded for his outstanding contributions to our arts and cultural community. ArtsFund Trustee Emory Thomas (Puget Sound Business Journal) will emcee the event. This year’s luncheon will focus on creativity in education and the workforce in the 21st century, and feature keynote speaker Steven J. Tepper, a leading writer and speaker on U.S. cultural policy. He is the dean of the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University, the nation’s largest, comprehensive design and arts school at a research university. He is the author of Not Here, Not Now, Not That! Protest Over Art and Culture in America, and co-editor and contributing author of the book Engaging Art: The Next Great Transformation of America’s Cultural Life.
