ArtsFund brings together donors as well as civic, business, and public entities to form a collective that believes in the transformative power of arts and culture. Our engagement efforts provide a platform for these audiences to gather and celebrate our thriving arts community.
On September 14, 2023, nearly 750 supporters gathered at the Celebration of the Arts Luncheon, ArtsFund’s first full-scale and in-person annual event since 2020. The event featured an exhilarating keynote speech by Marc Bamuthi Joseph as well as presentations by Acrobatic Conundrum and ARTE NOIR; and performances by ArtsFund Cultural Partners, including DJ Riz of KEXP, NFFTY (the National Film Festival for Talented Youth), The 5th Avenue Theatre, Totem Star, and Yəhaẃ Indigenous Creatives Collective. To ensure our event was inclusive as possible, ArtsFund provided accessibility-focused accommodations to create a positive and welcoming event experience for all.
ArtsFund would like to acknowledge the generosity of our attendees, including the “Leadership Circle” donors, and sponsors, whose support enabled us to exceed our fundraising goal and raise meaningful funds in support of ArtsFund. Sponsorship support underwrote costs associated with the event, enabling funds raised to directly benefit ArtsFund’s mission and programs.
We thank our 2023 Celebration of the Arts sponsors, who helped ensure a successful event!
We hope you’ll join us for the 2024 Celebration of the Arts event September 24, 2024!
ArtsFund engaged its community in Pop-Up events organized in collaboration with our Cultural Partners. These events included an evening gathering with Pacific Northwest Ballet for a performance of The Season’s Canon on November 11, 2022 as well as an event with the Seattle Symphony for a performance featuring works by Charles Corey, João Guilherme Ripper and Vinicius de Moraes, and Ludwig van Beethoven on February 9, 2023. In an effort to reach audiences in various communities served by ArtsFund, the organization welcomed a group of enthusiastic supporters to its first Pop-Up outside of Seattle at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma on June 8, 2023, which included exclusive access to the She Bends: Redefining Neon Legacy exhibit. All Pop-Ups included a reception and remarks from ArtsFund representatives and leaders from our partner institutions.
“…thank you…for bringing the experience of the symphony to so many…last evening. For many on our team it was their first time at Benaroya, but I am sure that it will not be their last. What a wonderfully diverse program and a great window into how ‘classical music’ is alive, innovating, and thriving here in the Northwest. A truly wonderful night.”- Loren Supp, ArtsFund Board Member
The ArtsFund Visionaries (AFV) provides an opportunity for young professionals to connect and uplift the mission of bolstering the arts together. The group connects emerging leaders and business professionals between 21 and 45 years of age to our vision – a community where the arts are accessible to all and valued as critical to a healthy society. Members of the Visionaries program supported ArtsFund through personal contributions in FY23, and were actively engaged in arts activities, performances, and presentations organized by ArtsFund in collaboration with ArtsFund’s grantees and Cultural Partners. We invite interested individuals to join us in 2024!
To ensure ArtsFund can continue to create not only stable but continuous support for arts and culture organizations throughout Washington, we launched our planned giving program entitled the “ArtsFund Luminaries” in 2024. We invite our supporters to learn more about leaving a legacy and making a long-term impact on the arts by visiting the Explore Planned Giving section on our website.
ArtsFund thanks the companies and donors who participated in our FY23 workplace giving campaigns. These campaigns engaged nearly 300 individual donors, offering a company’s employees the opportunity to rally together and support ArtsFund and the arts organizations whose programming and outreach uplift our communities and improve the quality of life for all.
ArtsFund thanks our workplace giving campaign partners and cultural partners who played a meaningful part in the success of this year’s workplace giving campaigns including Earshot Jazz, MOHAI, the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra, Velocity Dance Center, poet Storme Webber, and the following partners:
